H. Tim Grady Tim was born in Madison, Connecticut. As a young boy Tim and his family sailed up and down the east coast of the U.S.A. They stopped in Charleston S.C. for extended periods of time his whole life, mainly out at Kiawah Island. Tim spent his adolescent years in the north-east mainly Washington D.C. and the eastern shore of Maryland, Easton, Oxford and St.Michaels. Tim graduated in 1994 from Clemson University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management, where he played Lacrosse. His first film experience was on Ace Ventura II, When Nature Calls, working with the animal department. After Ace II Tim would take any film job possible. He started driving a motor home to help learn the business and get contacts. Tim’s experience on the motor home was invaluable because he was learning how the professionals get things done, from high-end commercials and still shoots to independent films and low budget industrial videos. Tim got his feet wet with Locations on An Occasional Hell and then was thrown into the ocean on The Patriot. Tim is now a professional highly experienced and sought after Location Manager and Scout. He also stays busy by producing catalogs, coordinating & production managing commercials and print ads. Tim is not confined to the Southeast U.S. he works all over the country, whenever necessary. Tim’s strong work ethic combined with the ability to communicate and understand how different types of film production work, has helped him become one of the most respected Location Managers in the Southeast United States today. The only question is, is he available for my shoot?

Stephen Yetman Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Stephen brings a lot of things to the table. One of nine children, he learned early on that if one was going to be noticed, one would have to perform and perform well. Stephen came to South Carolina in the late 70’s to attend the College of Charleston and four years later he had a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and the Most Valuable Player award from the NAIA Men’s National Basketball Tournament. Stephen led his team to the National Championship by scoring seventy points, dishing out 36 assists over 5 games in 5 days. After spending many uneventful years selling insurance with Prudential, Stephen began to work on smaller film projects when the right opportunity presented itself. Then in 1994, he left the insurance business and began working full-time in the film industry. “I worked on Bionic Ever After as a grip intern even though I had already worked on over two dozen smaller projects since 1989. You had to show people what you were willing to do.” Ever since then finding work has not been that difficult for Stephen. He has done some work in the art department as a set dresser (Deceiver and O) but the bulk of his film work has been in Locations. Stephen was the Assistant Location Manager on several TV movies including First Time Felon and CSS Hunley, and on Major League III, Back to the Minors before he was given a shot to Location Manage his first feature Chill Factor. Since then his credits include In Crowd, Leopold Bloom and Cold Mountain. “Everyone thinks that the film business is all about the movies, but there is plenty of work here in Charleston on still shoots, commercials and TV”. Stephen is currently the divorced father of two beautiful little girls ( his youngest, Sarah, is featured in the photo with him ). “I’m sure Meda, my oldest, will question me as to why she’s not in the picture too. Better luck next year.”
“I seem to thrive on the demands placed on being a Location Manager” and those who have hired him seem to agree. “2005” seems to be shaping up to be a banner year here in South Carolina. If you decide to look, you should give Stephen a call.

Linda Lee A location manager’s job is never easy. We’re supposed to solve whatever problem comes up – no matter how absurd – because the director must get the shot that is in his/her head and it makes no difference if the budget is one hundred million or four million. On The Patriot, it was signing up 70 property owners in the heart of the historic district so that the art department could turn back the clock to a perfect day and night in 1774. That included getting rid of every street sign, parking meter, traffic light, automobile, doorbell, etc. and then, closing down those streets for three days. Meanwhile, the residents still had to be able to go about their daily activities without interruption. For O, the challenge was finding inexpensive locations, partially dressed and close together for a talented first-time director and fledgling cast with a very low budget. On the tech scout for The Tempest, the director suddenly feared he could not make his day at his chosen location. A new location was found and prepped, including road building, in two days. The script for Carriers took place in Delaware, Houston, Dallas, Maryland, Atlanta, Boston, Mississippi and included jungles, several airports, hospitals and medical research facilities. All locations were found in the Charleston and Beaufort areas.
